Investigated the effects of lithium on recurrent laryngeal nerve regeneration after crush injuries in rats.
Performed operations on rats to dissect and crush the recurrent laryngeal nerve, and used a laryngoscope and digitized images to quantify degree of improvement in vocal cord motion.

Studied the pre- and postprandial hemodynamic changes of the superior mesenteric artery using duplex ultrasonography. Results confirmed an increase in peak-systolic and end- diastolic velocities, and a loss of end-systolic flow reversal in the postprandial state.
